Aragne no Mushikago
The film's story is set in a huge apartment building that is known as a place where spirits dwell. An 18-year-old female college student named Rin moves and happens to visit the building. Rin finds herself involved with strange events as she uncovers the truth of the building.
It has been that animator Saku Sakamoto (Director of NHK's Minna no Uta, Mattsu to Yanma to Moburi-san) is creating an anime movie titled Aragne no Mushikago (Insect Cage of Aragne).
An eighteen-year-old female university student, Rin, has moved into an apartment complex that is notorious for having spirits. One day, she has supernatural experiences that are connected to these spirits. What is the secret behind the building?
Actors and Characters
The cast includes Ayana Shiramoto as the mysterious girl Nasuha, Yousuke Itou as folklore researcher Tokiyo, Fukujurō Katayama as the shaman Saion, and Shōgo Batori as Mikaya, a young man with secrets. The lead female character Rin has not yet been cast.

He plans to finish its production in 2018 and to have it premiere in middle 2018.
Sakamoto will write the script, direct the movie, produce the animation, and compose the music; while writer Osamu Fukutani will supervise the movie.
