Plot
The animated series "The Irregular at Magic High School" - an anime, based on the popular manga.
On Earth closer to the middle of the XXI century began to occur climate change. Cooling has led to a reduction in food and other resources.
The Third World War broke out, lasting two decades and destroying more than half the world's population. The non-use of thermonuclear weapons was the merit of the operators of ancient magic. It was their talents and skills that gave mankind a chance.
When people returned to a peaceful life, they decided to study magic more closely and use it in all spheres. For this purpose, special schools were created, where the innate abilities of entrants were brought to the mind.
After the entrance examination, all students were divided into two streams: in the first (flower) were collected the best of the best, in the second (weed) - the remaining ones.
Shiba Miyuki, due to her achievements, was identified in the first stream, and her older brother Shiba Tatsuya, an excellent theoretician, but a weak practitioner - in the second.
Getting used to the new school, they will face many problems, and Tatsuya must also hide the secret of his childhood ...

Yeah but we haven’t seen Tatsuya’s true potential. We haven’t seen Saitama’s but all you have to do is avoid getting physically hit by him and you are all good. If it was a death battle Tatsuya would win because they know nothing about each other just to kill one another so Tatsuya could just turn him into nothing and Saitama couldn’t avoid it because he thing it’s a normal bullet or is just thinking about something and doesn’t move because he thinks it’s nothing.So Saitama turns into nothing. So the Winner is Tatsuya.
to be honest saitama seems to move faster than the speed of sound if he feels like it…. so not being hit by that would be next to impossible for a human also even tho tatsuya has a repair sequence it wouldnt be possible to use it when your main control (The Brain) is blown away by one punch. So….. there is that also uh there is something in anime called INTUITION !!!! which means one knows when a bullet is dangerous. And saitama has a certain power which allows him not to be affected by a shit ton of things maybe he can be tossed but things cant enter him internally. like i said before saitama can move pretty damn fast so tatsuya wouldnt even be able to hit him. which means your theory is wrong. You overlooked the speed and ability.
So many things wrong, where do I start?…First, u haven’t accounted for the fact Tatsuya wouldn’t even need to dodge, did u not see what he did to Lu Gonghu, so no its not impossible for him to keep from punching him. Second, I can’t believe u just used intuition like its a natural fact of life, worse u applied it to Saitama, the guy who never uses intuition since he never goes out of his way to dodge anything because he doesn’t need to. Third his speed wont matter if he can’t get close, again LU GONGHU got wrecked. Don’t go discrediting theories without the facts. YOU overlooked everything important.
well , both animes have been made by madhouse , therefore , its only fair we compare both saitama and tatsuya , according to how madhouse portrays them . tatsuya is OP in human standards (humans that can use magic,ofc) . Saitama is op on universal standards( madhouse simply wished to create an unbeatable MC , and a simple sort of one, hence ONE PUNCH MAN)

( before u jump on me with Tatsuya’s op magic (mainly the blue spirit fire one ), remember , tatsuya can only counter humans (magicains) with magic …..wheere im not sure if saitama is even human)
My hats off to u sir or ma’am, that’s a very good point that they’re both from Madhouse, I cannot deny that, so we can compare. I’ve also wondered for a long time whether saitama is human or not even though my cousin swears he is. But, im sorry, i do have to jump, but just on the point u made not on u.
That blue fire he uses is Material Burst, where he converts matter into energy. And it actually isn’t even one of his counter moves its just one of the forms of the Decomposition magic he was born with, which is more pure destruction.
But he isn’t limited by whether ur human (magician) or even objects. Remember what he did to the no Head Dragon, the Cyborgs, the robots, the ship…i could go on. It really doesn’t matter. Same thing applies to his Regrowth ability.

As long as Saitama exists as a physical being(matter) Tatsuya should be able to decompose him. I hate to say it but the only way Saitama could survive that is Plot Armour as far as i know.
Especially since later Tatsuya even has to learn how to decompose things that don’t have a physical body as well.
The blue flame spell is not Material Burst. The blue flame is Mist Dispersion being used with the Trident.
Precisely xD . Plot armor , he’s simply unbeatable and unkillable .
I mean , we could say Tatsuya will kill Goku in seconds (comparing is hard , different studios ) , but , Goku is a being that beat the so called omni-God , and there’s a ton of Over-powered , yet unexplained crap ( which makes the anime so unwatchable ) . Thus , outcome , Goku is unbeatable . So yes , 2 things I can confirm , first ,we can only compare MC’s of the same studio , since there’s a possibility of a Crossover . Second , a good 30% of the Op MC’s don’t follow reasoning . They’ve got the invincible plot armour on em , thus , making most comparisons invalid ………..T T
That’s my issue with plot armor. If a character like saitama has to use plot armor to not be defeated, then he’s not actually that powerful, it’s like a child being protected by it’s parent.
Don’t get me wrong I love Saitama as a character, but using plot armor as an excuse is pretty insulting to a character. It’s a cop out to their strength.
That’s what I love about Mahouka unlike 30% of OP mC’s (as u say) there is SO much reasoning in the show that people simply don’t know (Kinda like how u misinterpreted his Material Burst). Granted a lot of the good info is in the LN’s (so far im only at ch.12)
But I just think it’s insulting to the characters when ppl start fights over who’s stronger without getting the necessary info bout them. Tatsuya might be OP but there’s more than often an explanation behind it, and there are even things tatsuya will avoid he actually analyzes the situation.
On the other hand i would NEVER ever ever say Tatsuya can beat Goku in seconds just like that, (that’s a naive thing to even speculate), It is ABSOLUTELY true that Goku is an alien for one, and he’s tapped into powers that is from different universes, or (as u say) different studios. But we actually could compare them, as long as we would used some ground rules, like what they do in Death Battle ex. Goku vs Superman (which also proved Goku is not unbeatable)
So yes we actually can compare MC’s from different studios.
The 2 animes are from the same studio but u made one crucial error…MADHOUSE. This is Madhouse were talking about, the studio with the history of rarely making second seasons. U have a higher possibility of finding a $100 dollar bill in front of Wall Street then to see a crossover. They don’t even continue the original stories do u really think they would put the effort of crossovers?

I really hope we get a S2 of this ( also ngnl and opm ) .
But frankly , the Ln’s are actually amazing .
And a heads up xD . If u have heard of the Ln tate no yuusha ;naraigari , i hope I don’t need to tell i which studio is gonna do the anime now, do i ? XD

Unfortunantly i doubt there’s gonna be a S2 for Mahouka, but good news is there’s gonna be a movie.
This could just be more me and the fact it’s been a bit since I watched this,but from my understanding…Saitama wouldn’t really actually be affected by Tatsuya’s stuff,keep in mind,Saitama is also able to be psychic shits and all that right?He was able to take a gravity force so strong that it probably could’ve gone and created a black hole(though that’s prob me just saying that for more emphasis,I also only watched the show of One Punch Man.but I still think that it would prob be practically even and all.Ill find out again though.
That’s true, ultimately I cant say for sure cause although I know more about Tatsuyas strengths and weaknesses, I dunno enough about Saitama. But I also can’t rule out Tatsuyas powers working on Saitama either. Although psychic powers or esp do exist in the mahouka universe, magic and psychic powers are different. In mahouka magic is altering the information of reality on a target temporarily. And Tatsuyas main moves decomposition and regrowth aren’t even classified as psychic powers or modern magic, their superpowers, because he was born with them and they don’t need activation sequences like modern magic does, so he can alter the reality of a target quicker than modern magic. As for the gravity thing, that’s just applying an enormous amount of gravitational force, which Saitama did survive, but we’re talking about Tatauya altering reality. But ya honestly bro I dunno Saitama limits so maybe it would affect him maybe it wouldn’t.
