The 100 Plot

The CW has decided to renew the series for a fifth season. Number of episodes in it so far remains unknown. The premiere of the first of them will take place in 2018.

Events The 100 series are developed in a world that has destroyed nuclear war. Upon its completion, it took almost a hundred years, and at this time begin to occur serial events. In the new season, which will consist, as you might guess, from more than ten episodes, viewers will learn what really happened when the war broke out. Many mysteries remain unsolved until this time, finally, will become apparent. A large number of series of events waits for each of its fan, so he personally was able to give what they see their own opinions.

Familiar characters The 100 will return to TV screens very soon, to bring the audience to unravel the mystery, hidden from their eyes from the first series.

The 100 has done solid business, running on par with such other renewed CW series as Jane the Virgin and Riverdale. Like those two, it sees significant amounts of delayed and digital viewing. The 100 averages a +70% increase in total viewers, a +73% gain in adults 18-34, and an +86% jump in adults 18-49 in Live+7 day ratings over Live+Same Day.

Currently airing its fourth season, The 100 follows a group of survivors of a nuclear apocalypse in the near future who return to Earth only to clash with other tribes of humans who also escaped Doomsday. This season, all of them struggle with the knowledge of another apocalypse on the way, caused by the rapid meltdown of nuclear reactors around the globe.

The 100 is the ninth CW series to score a renewal for the 2017-18 season, joining the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural, Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Riverdale. No word yet on the fates of iZombie and The Originals, both of which have new seasons on the way. Additionally, freshmen series Frequency and No Tomorrow are not expected to return, though neither has been officially cancelled.

I’m not certain that season 5 will be the end. It might get a sixth because the episode count will still be on the low side. But season six, if it happens, is almost certainly the end; I think they’re going to run out of stories to tell about that setting and those characters.

Great news! It’s a wonderful show and deserves to be seen by a wider audience. It’s not just for kids – I’m over 50!

Good show, only got into it when watching a marathon of past seasons on Netflix prior to this season. Maybe because I did that viewing I didn’t see the problem as a bashing issue but more as part of the storyline of various differences between the different groups on planet.
