The Story of God – season 2

The Story of God with Morgan Freeman will take viewers on a trip around the world to explore different cultures and religions on the ultimate quest to uncover the meaning of life, God and all the questions in between.

Actors: Morgan Freeman, Amir Hussain, Jodi Magness

Taking second billing to the Almighty, the actor Morgan Freeman proves a genial, inquisitive host for what is something of a divinely inspired bait-and-switch operation: “The Story of God,” Nat Geo’s globe-trotting six-part series, might better have been called “The Story of Man”—a pan-cultural account of how humans have defined their place in the universe by imagining gods, rationalizing their most primal fears and responding with belief systems and architecture. If you’re looking for a character study of the Creator Himself, you’re out of luck. Or karma. Or grace. www.wsj.com

Season 2 opens with Freeman traveling to Devil’s Tower, Wyoming, which is a sacred place for many local Native American tribes. There he meets with Chief Arvol Looking Horse, who is 19th Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe and of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nations.

I never ceases to amaze me that the secular world tries to explain in their own nebulous understanding who God is. Why don’t they they find someone that has had a real verifiable encounter with the Creator of the universe and have him or her explain who God is… I suppose it would not matter anyway, God came in the flesh and all we humans did was to torture and crucify him.
I thank God He reached down and made me a new creation in Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord. I do not need documentaries such as these to know who He is.
To God be the glory forever!

Amen brother! I did not watch this series because I knew it would not be of any value to me. I read the Bible and pray, that’s where my relationship with the Lord is strengthened. That’s where I’m educated.

There are many mistakes in your nonsensical paragraph, which means people won’t take you seriously. Might I recommend high school?

A delusion is a false belief that is based on an incorrect interpretation of reality.
