Reviews

Finn had a really bad time making Iron Fist. People were accusing him of whitewashing an already white role to the point where he left Twitter. I wish I could punch those people because they wanted an Asian to play Iron Fist because it would be less racist. Right, cause having the first Asian Marvel superhero be a martial artist who harnesses his chi and internal dragon into an ancient oriental power doesn't sound STEREOTYPICAL AT ALL!

The show was mediocre, however my biggest problem with the show (and one that could had help this mediocre show out immensely) was the fight choreography with Finn, and thats Marvel/ABC fault. They should have hired Finn months or even a full year before filming, and got him the proper training he would need for this role, i mean even if the story was mediocre, if the show would have had off the wall fight sequences (similar to those in DD) people would have forgiven the weak story arc imo. Also, not having a memorable villain hurt too. I mean DD had Kingpin, JJ had Killgrave, LC had Cottonmouth. IF had...Harold Meachum??? not even close compare to the others.

I liked her character on daredevil but in iron fist uh she ruined the show. I've never read the comics for iron fist but I thought it was so stupid how after she makes him feel bad and tells him not to kill. he gets all scared and sad after he beats up that really bad guy . the one who was like a really good fighter for the hand. I lost all interest in the show after that episode.

I honestly didn't mind Thor 2 and iron fist but I definitely agree iron man 3 and ultron were bad. As for civil war? I think the movie was good however I did watch a good video on YouTube (I forgot the title) about how they didn't use enough color to make the film "pretty". Which is quite the contrast to Dc films (including suicide squad) for some reason they just do a better job at making the screen pop more. I think we can all agree the marvels track record hasn't been too bad since iron man.

I guess they decided if we're going to eff up the Defenders, let's REALLY eff it up. not only are the members ALL incorrect, they're all lame, and just for good measure, it looks like they decided to turn it into a sort of superhero-flavored Matrix. lol @ anyone past the age of 12 thinking this will be good.

Yes it is the same universe, Agents of Shield confirmed that so did Captain America: Winter soldier. That's why in all the NETFLIX Marvel shows they talk of "the incident" Avengers 1 when the aliens destroyed NYC. Marvel don't play by the old rules, they broke new ground making the Avengers and bringing their superheroes together, now they're breaking new ground by bringing their TV shows in the same universe and the MCU.

I kind of hope Danny Rand WILL be in “Luke Cage” and will befriend Luke, because then we’ll have the Amazing Trio of Jess-Luke-Danny and the third wheel to that relationship Matt Murdock.

That depends on how long between Danny Rand was actually casted and when they made the announcment. Since Mike Coltier did seem to be in the known by the end of January (announcment in March) it’s not impossible we’ll see Danny Rand in Luke Cage, but probably not AS Iron Fist. It might be a flashback scene since the Iron Fist synopsis says Danny has been missing for years.

Well, we’re going to be waiting for more solo adventures by Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Since apparently Marvel/Netflix can only produce one show at a time. If you’re only into Jessica Jones and not the whole Marvel street level heroes package it will be at least three years before you see new episodes.

For starters, I like Jessica Jones way more than Matt Murdock. I think Trish was more developed than either Foggy or Karen ever were in DD too, so I actually cared what happened to her. I even cared about Hogarth more than most of the DD characters. JJ just built a much more compelling world, whereas DD left more of it on Matt/Charlie’s shoulders. I love Charlie Cox, but my love for him didn’t transcend to the series as much as I thought it would. We’re still making our way through Season 1. We’re actually at a point where we choose to watch Chef’s Table over Daredevil. We’ll finish it eventually.
